Alphabet International’s CEO receives award at gala

Norbert van den Eijnden, CEO of Alphabet International, was named VDO Automotive Manager of the Year. The award was created by the magazine Automotive, The Netherlands’ foremost industry publication and is sponsored by VDO, the automotive supplier.

Bernard Wientjes, chairman of VNO-NCW, the Dutch employers’ federation, and chair of the award’s jury, presented van den Eijnden with the prize. He praised van den Eijnden for “his vigorous and above-board style, his analytical ability and his high integrity.”

Van den Eijnden, who was instrumental in merging Alphabet with ING Car Lease in September 2011, said it was a great pleasure for him to receive the award. “I will pass it on to my team, because this is not something you achieve alone.”

It was the fifth time that a four-person jury conferred the title of Automotive Manager of the Year as part of Automotive magazine’s biannual gala dinner.
