Alphabet Polska has provided hybrids for the City of Warsaw

Alphabet Polska dostarczył hybrydy dla Miasta Stołecznego

Since July this year nine hybrid cars have joined the fleet of the Capital City of Warsaw. Low-emission and economical cars will be used in operating leasing. Alphabet Polska Fleet Management became the supplier selected on the tender.

The ceremonial handover of cars took place on July 23 at the headquarters of Kia Polska. Nine hybrid Kia Optima cars on behalf of the city were picked up by Tomasz Szlęzak, Head of the Transport Department in the Office of Capital City of Warsaw. The representatives of Alphabet Polska and Kia Motors Polska also participated in the transfer of cars.

We have been pleased to supply cars for the Capital City for three years. It is even more important for us to become a supplier of the first hybrid vehicles in the Warsaw fleet - says Ewa Warakomska, Alphabet Poland.

As part of the additional support for environmentally friendly city policy, Alphabet Polska also handed Warsaw an electric BMW i3 free of charge for the next three months, to jointly promote alternative drives.

The city has for a long time considered the possibility of incorporating ecological cars into its business fleet, because hybrid technology is perfect for urban driving. In hybrids, an electric motor replaces the diesel engine when starting off and driving, i.e. at the moments of the highest fuel consumption, and when braking acts as a generator, thus reducing energy consumption.
