Inspiring days in Portugal for Alphabet and fleet industry

Fleet Europe Forum 2017

One of the most important annual industry events, the Fleet Europe Forum attracts around 800 European and international fleet decision makers each year. Once again Alphabet, with its expertise and portfolio of advanced Business Mobility solutions, attended the event on 6th December in charming Estoril, Portugal. In line with this year’s theme “Learn – Network – Be Inspired”, Alphabet and visitors exchanged thoughts on disruptive market dynamics, new players, e-mobility and more.

Carsten Kwirandt, Head of Marketing and Business Development, Alphabet International: “Our holistic Business Mobility approach allows us to offer products today that meet the mobility demands of tomorrow. It was a real pleasure to discuss the latest fleet trends and developments with our customers and other fleet experts at this year’s Fleet Europe Forum, especially at our extremely popular Alphabet booth.”

Alphabet Fleet Intelligence Forum 2017

The following day, Alphabet welcomed its guests in a luminescent location overlooking the ocean in Cascais for this year’s Fleet Intelligence Forum. Every year this Alphabet customers event gives exclusively invited participants the opportunity to partake in stimulating discussions and to share expertise and ideas. The theme of this year’s event was “Alternative Drives – Game Changer for Corporate Fleets”. To kick it off, Alphabet invited business creativity expert Frederik Härén for an inspiring key note speech. He encouraged everyone to change perspectives and challenged innovative approaches, which allowed new ideas to blossom. But how can new ideas and a change of perspective be implemented in fleet management?, one might ask. A valuable workshop with representatives from Google, held against the backdrop of a breathtaking  ocean view, addressed this question and revealed bright new solutions and Business Mobility approaches.

Uwe Hildinger, Chief Sales Officer, Alphabet International: “The Fleet Intelligence Forum is always a perfect opportunity to welcome our international customers and discuss current and future fleet topics. While our industry continues to change and new demands keep arising, this event remains a great platform for fleet experts to exchange experiences, ideas and industry insights.”

The Fleet Intelligence Forum 2017 was rounded out by test drives of the latest cars from various makes. On a hand-selected panoramic route with a marvellous view of the Atlantic Ocean, Alphabet customers could test 14 different vehicles with a variety of engine types, e.g. the BMW i3, Mini PHEV and Infiniti Q50 along with LCVs like Renault Kangoo ZE. A memorable experience for many was certainly a ride in the TESLA Model X and the BMW i8.
